Which flowmeter should be selected for PSA oxygen flow measurement

Flow is one of the important parameters in the PSA oxygen system. Accurate measurement of flow is the basic guarantee of user rights.

At present, there are many flowmeters that can be used to measure the flow of PSA oxygen system, such as orifice flowmeter, thermal gas mass flowmeter, glass rotor flowmeter, metal rotor flowmeter, etc.

This type of flowmeter will be calibrated according to the oxygen medium to ensure the accuracy of the measurement. Secondly, the part of the flowmeter that contacts oxygen should be non-flammable materials such as metal or glass. The thermal gas mass flowmeter and glass rotor flowmeter are the ones we usually see more for PSA oxygen system.

Among them, the thermal mass flowmeter does not require temperature sensor, pressure sensor and calculation unit, only flow sensor, simple composition and low failure rate. The characteristics of the gas mass flowmeter are that it does not require temperature and pressure compensation, directly measures the mass flowmeter of the gas, has a very wide range ratio, high measurement accuracy, good stability, pulsating flow, pipeline vibration, etc. will not affect the measurement results, and the performance is very reliable. The glass rotor flowmeter is a traditional flowmeter with simple installation, convenient maintenance and low price.

In addition, I would like to add that both PSA industrial oxygen generators and PSA medical oxygen generators can use thermal gas mass flow meters or glass rotor flow meters, but one thing to note is that the flow meter needs to be degreased before use.
