Safety and fire prevention planning of PSA medical oxygen room

Whether it is industrial production or medical oxygen, safety is the basis of production, and it cannot be overemphasized. Similarly, the safety planning of PSA medical oxygen room is also an important consideration in the planning of the entire medical system project. It needs to implement the corresponding safety requirements according to the actual situation of the project;

1. PSA medical oxygen generator should be equipped with an independent distribution cabinet connected to the power grid.

2. PSA medical oxygen generator should comply with the relevant provisions of the current national standard "Building Lightning Protection Design Code" GB 50057. Medical liquid oxygen storage tank station should be equipped with lightning protection grounding, and the impact grounding resistance should not exceed 30 ohms.

In addition to the above safety needs, another important point is the building fire protection design of the machine room.


Building fire protection

1. The fire hazard of the PSA oxygen station building is Class B, so the fire resistance level should not be lower than Class II. The doors and windows on the building envelope should open outwards and should not be made of combustible materials such as wood and plastic steel; when adjacent to other buildings, the adjacent wall should be a fire wall with a fire resistance limit of not less than 3h and no door or window openings, and the station building should have at least one door directly to the outside.

2. PSA oxygen production equipment, storage tanks and medical gas bus rooms are not set in the same room, but should be separate rooms.

3. The fire resistance limit of the partition wall between the oxygen bus room and the machine room is not less than 1.5h, and the communication door between them should use Class A fire doors.

4. The fire resistance limit of the partition wall between the oxygen storage tank and the machine should not be less than 1.5h, and the communication door between them should use Class A fire doors. (This is the provision in GB51039. GB50030 stipulates that the fire resistance limit is 2h, and Class B fire doors and windows)

Practice has proved that fires are more common in daily production processes and are very harmful; doing a good job in building fire prevention is an important measure to effectively prevent the loss of equipment and property and even human life, and it is also a strong guarantee for production personnel and equipment property.
