Relevant regulations for medical oxygen gas construction

In GB 50751-2012 "Technical Specifications for Medical Gas Engineering", relevant specifications for medical gas construction are clearly given. This specification applies to the entire medical gas system, including the medical oxygen gas construction link.

General regulations for medical oxygen gas engineering construction:

1.Construction companies and construction personnel should have relevant qualification certificates and practice certificates;

2.Approved construction drawing design documents;

3.Pressure pipelines and equipment have been reported for construction in accordance with relevant requirements;

4.Construction materials and on-site water, electricity, and civil construction facilities are fully prepared.

Medical gas equipment should be unpacked and inspected before installation. The product certificate should be consistent with the equipment number, the supporting accessory documents should be consistent with the packing list, the equipment should be complete, there should be no mechanical damage or bumps, the surface treatment layer should be intact and free of rust, and the protective cover should be complete.

Medical gas pipes and accessories should be inspected for appearance according to product standards before use and should comply with the following regulations:

1.All pipe port seals should be intact, and valve and accessory packaging should be intact;

2.The pipe should have no appearance manufacturing defects, should be smooth and straight, and should not have local dents, bruises, flattening and other defects; high-pressure gas and cryogenic liquid pipes should not have scratches and indentations;

3.The valve sealing surface should be intact, without scars, burrs and other defects; the flange sealing surface should be flat and smooth, without burrs and radial grooves:

4.Non-metallic gaskets should maintain a flexible texture, should not be aged or delaminated, and should not have folds and wrinkles on the surface;

5.Pipes and accessories should be free of rust.

When welding medical gas copper pipes and stainless steel pipes, inert gas protection should be used inside the pipes and the following regulations should be met:

1.Nitrogen or argon can be used as welding shielding gas, and carbon dioxide gas should not be used;

2.Inert gas should be supplied inside the unwelded pipe port, and the unwelded adjacent pipes should not be heated and oxidized;

3.The welding construction site should maintain air circulation or supply breathing gas separately;

4.The number of gas cylinders should be recorded on site, and measures should be taken to prevent confusion with medical gas cylinders.

When constructing pipelines and equipment with an oxygen content exceeding 23.5%, it is strictly forbidden to use ointment.

The medical gas alarm device should be self-tested before connection.
