In the PSA oxygen production system, the material of the oxygen pipeline should be determined according to the oxygen pressure, temperature and laying method. In addition to providing certain strength conditions, the oxygen pipeline also needs to meet the requirements of corrosion resistance, rust resistance and fire resistance.
1. Considering the temperature conditions, steel pipes are generally used for oxygen pipelines under normal temperature conditions. If it is in a cold environment of -40℃, aluminum alloy, copper alloy or stainless steel should be selected. Their strength and toughness at low temperatures are better than copper pipes.
2. Considering the pressure conditions, when the PSA oxygen production system is buried and the working pressure is less than 0.6 MPa, welded steel pipes (GB3092-82), seamless steel pipes (YB231-70), and steel plate welded pipes (As) can be used; when the working pressure of the PSA oxygen production system is greater than 0.6 MPa and less than 3 MPa, seamless steel pipes (YB231-70) can be used; when the working pressure of the PSA oxygen production system is greater than 10 MPa, copper-based alloy pipes (referring to copper pipes or brass pipes) are recommended. If the laying method is buried, regardless of the pressure, seamless steel pipes (YB231-70) can be used.
In consideration of pressure and laying method, in addition to complying with the material requirements shown in Table 1. On the downstream side of the pressure or flow regulating valve group, a stainless steel pipe (GB2270-80) or copper-based alloy pipe with a length greater than 5 times the outer diameter of the pipe and not less than 1.5m should be used; and on the downstream side of the oxygen release valve, the oxygen release pipe section with a working pressure greater than 0.1MPa should also use a stainless steel pipe.
Table1 Selection of oxygen pipeline pipes
Note:
Steel plate rolled welded pipes are only used when the pressure is less than 0.1MPa and the pipe diameter exceeds the diameter of existing welded steel pipes, electric welded steel pipes, and seamless steel pipes.
