Medical oxygen is different from industrial oxygen. It has higher requirements in use, production and transportation.

In order to ensure the stability, efficiency and continuous operation of the medical oxygen system, in addition to routine manual inspection and maintenance, the medical oxygen alarm system is also an important means of protection. There are two major benefits of equipping an oxygen monitoring alarm system. One is to track and monitor the data of each link in the production, transportation and use of medical oxygen to avoid missing minor problems. The other is that when a problem occurs, the system can immediately give a warning to help the equipment manager quickly locate and deal with the problem. This article mainly describes the alarm mode and trigger conditions of the medical oxygen detection system.

Alarm methods and relevant regulations for medical oxygen detection systems

1.The alarms of medical oxygen detection alarm systems include sound and light alarms and visual alarms

2.The sound and light alarms should be activated unconditionally, the sound pressure level at 1m should not be lower than 55dBA, and there should be a temporary mute function

3.The visual alarm should be clearly distinguishable at a distance of 4m, a viewing angle of less than 30 degrees, and an illumination of 100lx (lumens)

4.The alarm should have an alarm indicator fault test function and a power-off recovery self-start function, and should be able to alarm when the alarm sensor circuit is broken.

Emergency backup power supply should be set for the power supply of source alarm and area alarm.

Alarm triggering conditions of medical oxygen detection system

1.The air compressor and molecular sieve adsorption tower of the medical molecular sieve oxygen generator should be set with fault shutdown alarms respectively.

2.The alarm should be activated when the bus cylinder is switched.

3.The alarm should be activated when the medical oxygen source is switched to the emergency backup gas source.

4.The alarm should be activated when the emergency backup gas source reserve is low.

The gas source alarm should be equipped with at least one fault alarm display for each gas source equipment. When any local alarm is activated, the gas source alarm should simultaneously display the fault indication of the corresponding equipment.
