Let's talk about the alarm function and settings of medical gas sources

With the continuous improvement of modern medical conditions, medical gas systems have gradually entered various medical institutions, significantly improving the safety of the use of medical oxygen, negative pressure suction, nitrogen, nitrous oxide and other gases, and improving the work efficiency of medical staff.

In the production, transportation and use of medical gases, any problem in any link may bring safety hazards to the life and health of patients. In order to ensure the safety, reliability and sustainability of the medical gas system, the gas source alarm function and settings are particularly important.

Gas source monitoring alarm devices are generally installed in gas stations (such as oxygen stations) to monitor the working conditions of gas sources, gas processing devices and storage equipment. When the gas pressure in the pipeline or tank is incorrect during operation, the control box (cabinet) will light up and beep, reminding relevant technical personnel to pay attention. Of course, the alarm function of the medical gas source is not just this content, specifically;

    1. The alarm function should be activated when the gas supply in the storage tank is lower than the set value;

    2. The alarm function should be activated when the bus cylinder is switched;

    3. The alarm should be activated when the medical gas supply source is switched to the emergency backup gas source;

    4. The alarm should be activated when the emergency backup gas source reserve is lower than the set value;

    5. When the pressure of the compressed medical gas supply source exceeds the upper pressure limit and the rated pressure is underpressured by 15%, the overpressure and underpressure alarm should be activated; when the vacuum manifold pressure is lower than 48kPa, the underpressure alarm should also be activated;

    6. The gas source alarm should set at least one fault alarm display for each gas source device. When any local alarm is activated, the gas source alarm should also display the fault indication of the corresponding device.

The setting of gas source alarm shall comply with the following provisions:

    1.It shall be set in an area that can be monitored 24 hours a day, and gas source equipment located in different areas shall be equipped with independent gas source alarms;

    2.Multiple alarms of the same gas source alarm shall be connected to the monitoring sampling point separately, and when the alarm signal needs to be connected through a relay, the control power supply of the relay shall not share the power supply with the gas source alarm device;

    3.When the gas source alarm adopts a computer system, the system shall have a fault display function of the signal interface component, and the computer shall be able to work continuously and uninterruptedly, and shall not be used for other purposes. All sensor signals shall be directly connected to the computer system.
