Although PSA oxygen generator has less initial investment, shorter construction period and higher degree of automation compared with other air separation technologies. However, it is not very "economical" in terms of power consumption, which will bring a burden to users.
To achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement in oxygen production, we should first understand the composition of the actual cost of the PSA oxygen generator during operation. Generally speaking, in addition to power consumption, the PSA oxygen generator will also involve water consumption, oil consumption, auxiliary material consumption, maintenance costs and management costs during operation. The sum of all costs is the actual cost of equipment operation. Then divide the total cost by the unit of product oxygen (1 cubic meter of oxygen) to obtain the production capacity of the oxygen generator system. This is also an important indicator recognized by the industry to measure the performance of oxygen generators.
In the actual operation of the PSA oxygen generator, we must first improve the level of equipment management and personnel quality. Professional personnel can keep the equipment in a good operating state and reduce unnecessary system consumption. Secondly, we should focus on optimizing the following aspects;
1) Reduce the operating pressure of the oxygen generator as much as possible to reduce the power consumption of the air compressor. We can start by reducing the resistance of the equipment and pipelines and reducing the pressure on the tower;
2) The system configuration is reasonable. We should optimize the system configuration according to different usage conditions to achieve the purpose of energy saving; this is also the most important measure.
3) Ensure the amount of compressed air and eliminate air leakage so that there is enough compressed air to enter the tower for separation;
4) Improve the oxygen extraction rate and separate the oxygen in the enriched air as fully as possible;
5) Do a good job in daily maintenance and regular maintenance of the equipment, extend the continuous operation cycle of the equipment, and reduce the downtime for maintenance. In particular, we should pay attention to the removal effect of oil, moisture and carbon dioxide;
5) Comprehensively utilize and produce a variety of products.
