Oxygen is widely used in the national economy, and has important use value in the fields of medicine, metallurgy, chemical industry, petroleum, environmental protection and national defense. But at the same time, as a mechanical device for oxygen production, the traditional PSA oxygen generator is relatively large in both volume and weight, and has high requirements for storage space and transportation; in addition, the customized characteristics of the PSA oxygen generator require temporary preparation of many equipment and accessories in the system, so the production cycle will be longer and cannot meet the emergency oxygen needs.
In order to solve these problems, many professional PSA oxygen system manufacturers have introduced modularization in the design, research and development, and manufacturing of oxygen production systems.
The so-called modular design is to split the oxygen production system into several parts (or modules). Different modules have independent functions and will work together according to a unified connection interface; when solving customized needs, it can be achieved by simply arranging and combining different modules. Among them, modules of the same type can be reorganized and interchanged, which can make system maintenance and maintenance more efficient and convenient. Of course, compared with the traditional PSA oxygen production system, the advantages of modularization are;
1. Compact structure, small footprint;
2. Lightweight, easy to install and use; can be moved freely.
3. It is not a pressure vessel and does not need to be regulated as a pressure vessel;
4. It can produce product oxygen by connecting to qualified compressed air; it can be used for medical oxygen production.
5. Simple maintenance and low maintenance costs;
6. Modular structure, which can easily and flexibly expand the oxygen consumption;
7. No special person is required to be on duty, one-button start, fully automatic operation;
8. Multiple units can be used in parallel.
9. It can reduce project duration and cost and quickly meet oxygen needs.
Of course, modular design is not perfect. When large-scale modular production begins, the number of shared components will become huge. Once the module is found to have design defects or quality problems, many devices will be involved. Therefore, for modular production, manufacturers need to control the scale and have more stringent quality control requirements for spare parts suppliers.
